Polyurethane products manufactured or produced from this liquid system may present a serious fire hazard if improperly used or allowed to remain exposed or unprotected. The character and magnitude of any such hazard will depend on a broad range of factors, which are controlled and influenced by the manufacturing and production process, by the mode of application or installation and by the function and usage of the particular product. Any flammability rating contained in this literature is not intended to reflect hazards presented by this or any other material under actual fire conditions. These ratings are used solely to measure and describe the product’s response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions. Each person, firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture, production, application, installation or use of any polyurethane product should carefully determine whether there is a potential fire hazard associated with such product in a specific usage, and utilize all appropriate precautionary and safety measures.

Profoam Proseal HFO Closed Cell Foam

Proseal is a two-component, medium-density closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) insulation system. It offers outstanding thermal performance, superior moisture resistance, and exceptional yield, making it a top choice for both residential and commercial applications. Designed with environmental responsibility in mind, Proseal features a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1 and an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of 0. It is available in both summer and winter formulations to accommodate varying climate conditions.

Application Guidelines
Proseal must be applied using commercially available spray equipment designed for this purpose by an approved applicator. The recommended maximum application thickness is 3.5” per pass, with the core temperature of the first layer monitored to ensure it remains below 100°F before proceeding with additional layers. This process should be repeated for each subsequent pass to allow proper heat dissipation. When applying foam over heat-sensitive materials (such as PEX piping or low-voltage wiring), apply a maximum of 1” per pass and allow it to fully cool before adding additional layers. To prevent UV degradation, the applied foam must be protected from sunlight within 90 days of installation. Apply Proseal only when ambient and surface temperatures fall within the manufacturer’s specified range. To minimize condensation risks, ambient humidity should not exceed 70%, and substrate temperatures must be at least 5°F above the dew point before application
